Commitment to society
Aguas de Murcia organised a competition of ideas for providing the city with ornamental fountains. Thanks to the competition, we now have ornamental fountains working in:
- Avenida de Los Pinos
- Plaza Camachos.
Two types of plan were established for the fountain system:

Analytical control plan
The aim is:
- To learn about the quality of water produced.
- To control water disinfectant and pH levels.
- To control the risk of Legionnaires' disease in the system. The presence of these bacteria is reduced by treating water with UV rays, adjusting operating hours to the season of the year and intensifying testing in the summer.
- To establish cleaning and disinfection tasks in the networks and fountains.

Operation and maintenance plan
Detecting any deterioration or issues in the facilities, preventing possible faults and carrying out essential tasks to preserve infrastructure and equipment, and their environment.
